Joshua Rosenthal started in the arts at a young age. Switching from pencil to camera at one point in his youth sparked something within.

While attending Brooks Institute of Photography he shot a great deal of editorial and sports. Setting up a company and starting to make sales it seemed that he was attaining Friedlander’s “Trees and Forests”. But happiness was not found there.

It’s the nuance that interests him. The things that most people don’t understand. The subtlety of a Robert Frank composition or Nan Goldin’s intimacy of a moment. It is from this place that the human story evolves.
